HMSI launched Activa gearless scooter which quickly became a success because of its easy handling, electric start, refined engine and distinct looks. HH started offering motorcycles to the Indian customers. In the 80's the company spawned few more brands like Priya, Super etc. Bajaj's name became synonymous with scooters, just like Colgate stood for toothpaste.
